PLAYBOY, MARIJUANA, HEFNER, TOMMY CHONG AND MICHELLE PHILLIPS
The Marijuana Policy Project honored Hue Hefner March 30th for being a pioneer in the fight for the legalization of medicinal marijuana and Michelle Phillips, Snoop, Mike Simpson of The Dust Brothers, Adam Carolla, Ray Benson and Tommy Chong all celebrated in grand style at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. Also cause to celebrate was a recent victory in Rhode Island legalizing medicinal marijuana and an upcoming vote in Nevada which will be the first state to have on the ballot not just legalizing medicinal marijuana, but also regulating and taxing it. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame vocalist Michelle Phillips of the Mama’s and the Papa’s stopped by to talk about her views on legalization just before Hue was honored. “I think that hemp should be legalized and I believe that marijuana should be legalized. In fact, not just for medical marijuana but i believe marijuana should be legalized universally. It’s a gift from god.”
